Real Gouache

$5.00
SKU: RGOUACHE-1

Tip Top Real Gouache is a set of gouache brushes for Procreate made with REAL sampled brush strokes, with the highest quality materials. These are perfect for picture book illustration, or any cute, graphic, illustrative styles.

We broke down gouache painting into its pure essence, and were able to re-create the magic inside of Procreate! As usual the brushes are pressure-sensitive and carefully calibrated to feel like you're painting on real art supplies. The brushes have wonderful built in transparency and texture, which makes layering and tiling a breeze, just like in real life.

Included are 12 brushes:

Included:

2x Liner Brushes - These are for drawing/painting with gouache, one has transparency and more texture and the other is solid so you can add your own texture and color to it with other brushes.

1x Block-in Brush - This brush can function as a stamp texture or you can paint with it seamlessly. This is a very symmetrical shape which is perfect for blocking in large areas with gouache goodness.

1x Pressure Shader - Once you've blocked in your flat forms and shapes, you can add depth, shadow and color with this pressure-sensitive shading brush, based on a seamless texture we created from real gouache.

8x Real Marks - These are real marks of gouache on high quality paper, scanned in high resolution and brought into procreate. You can use them as 'stamps', but you can paint with them too, and they overlap each other fairly seamlessly. These are perfect for adding accents and dry brush effects, to really "sell" the gouache look!

You'll need Procreate 4 to take advantage of all the brush features, and preferably an Apple Pencil for the pressure sensitive brushes.

Procreate 5 is here, and its amazing! You can now install a LOT of brushes at once using the new Files app in iOS 11. We recommend backing up your purchase using an iCloud account (its free), or syncing them to Files with iTunes.

First things first... USE SAFARI on iPad!

Also make sure you open the link in the full Safari app (it must be Safari, no other browser will work), as the side-loaded one that gmail/other email apps use won’t work.

Note: Brush files end in *.brushset

Once you click the file name/download button, a blue arrow in a circle should appear in the top right corner of Safari. This is the "downloads" area. Tap this icon and you should see your download appear in a list like so:

Simply tap the file and it should automatically open in Procreate. Depending on if you've performed this before, it may ask you what you want to do with the file after tapping it, in which case you would simply find the Procreate icon and send it there.
