After years of rigorous iteration and relentless refinement, we proudly present the Ultimate Pro Oil Paint Brush Pack — the zenith of digital oil painting tools. Every brush in this collection is the culmination of countless hours of development, ensuring that artists experience the most authentic and enriched oil painting experience in the digital realm. From the nuanced strokes of the Blend Stump Wax to the detailed finesse of the Fine Wet Liner, each brush embodies our commitment to precision, depth, and versatility. No stone has been left unturned in our quest to emulate the grandeur and richness of traditional oil painting.

But our pack is more than just a set of brushes; it's a testament to our passion for art and innovation. With tools like the Misty Airbrush and Analog Paint Noise, artists can layer their creations with unparalleled texture and ambiance. The Canvas Texture brush, a true masterpiece in itself, transforms the digital canvas to mimic the tangible feel of real-life canvas grain. This isn't just another brush set; it's the definitive oil paint toolkit, meticulously crafted for those who refuse to settle for anything but the best in their artistic pursuits.

Comes with:

  1. Blend Stump Wax: A versatile tool that mimics the effect of blending with a waxed stump or smearing wet oil paint with your fingers. Ideal for creating soft transitions and merging colors seamlessly.

  2. Color Simplifier Wet: Perfectly designed for the smudge tool, this brush effortlessly simplifies intricate patterns into harmonious color tiles, making it ideal for creating abstract backgrounds or simplifying complex scenes.

  3. Color Simplifier Round: A variation of the Wet Simplifier, it offers a unique character for those looking to experiment with color blocking and abstract artistry.

  4. Fine Line Smudger: A must-have for detailed work, this brush delicately smudges fine lines, mimicking the natural spread of wet paint, perfect for creating realistic hair strands, wires, or intricate patterns.

  5. Wet Accents Smudger: Imbued with a wet, watery touch, this brush is excellent for adding splashes of watercolor-like accents or creating dreamy, diffused effects in your artwork.

  6. General Line Smudger: A versatile smudging tool suitable for a range of purposes, from creating shadow effects to softening harsh lines.

  7. Dry Texture Smudger: For artists seeking a matte finish, this brush offers a dry smudging quality, replicating the effect of dragging paint across a non-absorbent surface.

  8. Fine Wet Liner: Precision meets fluidity with this liner. Whether you're drawing intricate patterns or emphasizing details, its wet touch ensures your lines have a natural flow.

  9. Double Line Rake: Double the impact with this unique brush, designed to produce two parallel wet smudge lines. It's great for adding depth and dimension.

  10. Quad Line Rake: Quadruple your creativity with this brush, producing four simultaneous wet smudge lines for detailed and dynamic effects.

  11. Misty Airbrush: This brush is your go-to for adding depth and texture. Its speckled dots, which grow denser with pressure, are perfect for introducing noise or creating starry nightscapes.

  12. Canvas Texture: Elevate your artwork with the authentic feel of canvas. This brush, often paired with the smudge tool, allows you to overlay or blend in a realistic canvas grain.

  13. Analog Paint Noise: For those moments when your piece needs a gritty edge, this brush lets you introduce a sporadic paint texture, reminiscent of paint splatters or granulated surfaces.

  14. Broad Flat Painter: A foundational brush for any artist, its wide, rectangular bristles are pressure-sensitive, creating dynamic strokes that can range from solid blocks to fragmented lines.

  15. Feathered Bristle: Offering a wide brush filled with fine bristles, it's your tool of choice for feathering, creating soft contours, or introducing subtle textures.

Smudge Photos Into Paintings

While the brushes in our pack are a testament to the finest oil painting techniques, they've been meticulously crafted to excel as Smudge tool brushes. These brushes are exceptional for integrating photos into your artwork, commonly referred to as "photobashing". To infuse a painterly touch into your images, simply employ these brushes with the Smudge tool and watch as the magic unfolds.

Some tips for photo smudging:

  1. Begin Small: Start with a precise brush like the Fine Line Smudger. It allows you to simplify small areas of color/value while retaining vital details.
  2. Simplify, Don't Blur: Aim to streamline your image without resorting to blurring.
  3. Lift and Shift: Always lift your pen when transitioning to a new tone.
  4. Centralized Approach: Initiate your smudging from the core of the tones you're streamlining. For instance, to amplify a subtle white highlight, touch your pen to its center and delicately diffuse the pigment.
  5. Expressive Edges: For a painterly aura, grant your subjects dynamic edges using either the eraser tool or the smudge tool. The Double Line Rake and Quad Line Rake are exceptional for this, as well as the Broad Flat Painter.
  6. Break the Monotony: Facing vast flat areas of color? Utilize the Analog Paint Noise brush, sample a marginally lighter shade, and scumble in a painterly texture to introduce diversity.
  7. Liquify to Enhance: The liquify tool is a game-changer! In the Liquify tool, the "Edge" mode is perfect for reintroducing clarity to lines. Meanwhile, the Push and Twirl functions are excellent for imparting a fluidic aura.

Procreate 5 is here, and its amazing! You can now install a LOT of brushes at once using the new Files app in iOS 11. We recommend backing up your purchase using an iCloud account (its free), or syncing them to Files with iTunes.

First things first... USE SAFARI on iPad!

Also make sure you open the link in the full Safari app (it must be Safari, no other browser will work), as the side-loaded one that gmail/other email apps use won’t work.

Note: Brush files end in *.brushset

Once you click the file name/download button, a blue arrow in a circle should appear in the top right corner of Safari. This is the "downloads" area. Tap this icon and you should see your download appear in a list like so:

Simply tap the file and it should automatically open in Procreate. Depending on if you've performed this before, it may ask you what you want to do with the file after tapping it, in which case you would simply find the Procreate icon and send it there.
